Question 1

Does the resort provide transportation?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer transportation. We recommend SSI Trolley or Edwards Transportation for these services.

Question 2

I’m having my event outside. What if it rains?

Accepted Answer

For events booked at the Atlantic Court Tent, three days prior to the event the decision must be made to add the tent sides. For events on the lawns a final plan must be in place for ceremony and/or reception 24 hours in advance. Once the event space is set if a change is requested additional labor fees may be assessed.

Do I have to use the vendors on the hotel’s preferred vendor list?

We have curated a list of professionals we trust based on our experience working with them. We recommend you begin with them however you are welcome to consider other professionals as well. If any of your final vendors selected are not on our list we will require them to provide business license and proof of liability insurance.

What is an Event Minimum?

Our event minimums are determined by the venue(s) requested, time of year and day of week. Your event minimum will be outlined in your Event Agreement and includes all of the services we provide as well as the service charge and sales tax.

Do you allow outside caterers?

Accepted Answer

To guarantee our standards of quality, inspired cuisine, we require that ALL food and beverage be provided by our culinary and service teams.

Can we bring our pet?

We have a few rooms available at the resort that are pet friendly.

Question 7

What is check-in and check-out time?

Accepted Answer

Check-in is at 6pm and check-out is 11am. Guests may begin checking in at 4pm but rooms are not guaranteed until 6pm. Please be sure to plan your Friday events appropriately.

Question 8

We would like to give out welcome bags for all our guests who are staying at your hotel. Can your Front Desk hand them out for us?

Accepted Answer

We have two options – Welcome Bags handed out at the front desk will be charged at $2.00 per bag or our Bell Staff can place the welcome bag in the guestroom prior to or just after guest arrival at $4.00 per room. Additional details are including in the Rooms Agreement.

Question 9

Do we get a group discount for our guests?

We offer group room blocks for 10+ rooms with a 2 night minimum at a guaranteed rate. Room blocks are only offered to weddings hosting their reception at the resort. The block is done as a courtesy for your guests and both rooms and rates are available until 30 days prior to the wedding date. Reservation requests after the cut off date will be offered at the prevailing rates at the time of the request.
Our sister properties are Hotel Simone and Home2Suite at SSI Airport. We can assist you with additional room blocks at either of these locations.

Question 10

Do you require a deposit to hold space?

A $3500.00 non-refundable deposit is due with the signed contract. Three – four additional payments are spread out over the length of the contract. Your final guest count and final event charges are due 10 days prior to your event.

What exactly does my facility fee include?

Our wedding program pricing is designed to make the budgeting of your event as simple and straightforward as possible. We have designed the program to be a simple One all-inclusive price per guest. This price includes the venue, menu, bar service, staffing, amenities inclusions as well as the service charge and sales tax. Within our wedding program there are several sample menu options for you to start with. We will customize your event details from that point forward and pricing will be adjusted according to your menu plans, length of event and amenities requested.

Question 13

Do you have a list of recommended vendors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide a list of vendors that we recommend as they are familiar with our property. However, you may bring your own vendors if you prefer – photographer, cake baker, hair/makeup, florist, etc. For details, contact sales@kingandprince.com.

Question 14

What does your Room Rental Fee include?

Staff for set up and break down, tables, chairs, house linens, china, glass, and flatware for event.

Question 15

What is your payment policy?

Accepted Answer

We require the Room Rental Fee with the signed contract, followed by 50% of the estimated total 60 days prior. The final balance is due 8 days prior to the event.

Question 16

When do we make a rain call for our outdoor event?

We must have a decision 4 hours prior to the event to set up.

Question 17

Can we bring our own food into the resort for our event?

Accepted Answer

No, The King and Prince must provide all food and beverage for your event, due to liability reasons. You can view our banquet menu here.
